Day 4 of 31 Days to Get A Lil’ U.G.L.I.
Success can only be defined by YOU for your life. Your neighbor, mother, BFF, manager, or the guy down the street can have their own vision of what success may look like, but if it is not your vision, you will always feel that you will never amount to anything.
And that is exactly what society does. It tells us that in order to be considered “successful” we must own the house on the hill. We must have 2.5 perfect children. We must have graduated from an Ivy League School. We must have blonde hair and blue eyes. And we must blah, blah, blah. No wonder so many of us feel as if we will never make the mark.
Success can mean a brownstone in New York. It could mean that we may have two beautifully flawed children, not able to have children, or not wanting children at all. It could be that we never got that college degree, but we know that we have what it takes to successfully run our own business. It could mean that we have dark chocolate eyes and a crown of hair that sits high up and doesn’t sway in the breeze.
Today, write out what YOUR definition of success is. List all of the things that you want to accomplish and go do those things. Believe that everything that you put your mind to, you can do it. Believe that everything that you TOUCH, will be a success! When we make the decision to define our own destiny and get clear of what success is by our own standards…this is when we become truly successful.
